Piping Engineer (m / f / d) for Energy Projects A Snapshot of Your Day Join our dynamic team in Vienna, Austria, as a Piping Engineer (m / f / d) for Energy Projects. You will evaluate and comment on internal and client contracts, project schedules, and actively coordinate interfaces among internal fields, external suppliers, clients, and consultants. Your expertise will guide the piping planning process, including generating and judging routing concepts, organizing design reviews, and reviewing isometrics and layouts. You will also determine and specify piping technology for various mediums, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards while preparing comprehensive bid proposals and quotation documentation (RFQs). How You'll Make an Impact

• Develop and review bills of quantities (BoQs), aligning and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and international standards such as DIN, EN, EIGA, ASME, and ANSI
• Engage in technical contract negotiations while assessing and providing feedback on both internal and client contracts, specifications, and project-related timelines
• Coordinate interfaces and gather / distribute required parameters among internal teams, external suppliers, consultants and clients
• Monitor and coordinate piping planning in concern of quality and progress. This involves :
• Generating routing concepts
• Organizing design reviews
• Reviewing isometrics, pipe support drawings and layouts
• Project time schedule
• Determining and specifying piping technology for various liquid and gaseous mediums by analyzing P&IDs and calculating pressure loss and velocity. This includes determining nominal pipe sizes, allocating pipe material classes, and adhering to the respective code, as well as generating line, welding, and valve lists. Additionally, it encompasses the analysis of heat flow diagrams, the selection of valves and control valves, the design of functional pipe supports, and the implementation of thermal piping insulation, electrical trace heating, and expansion joints. What You Bring
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Several years of professional experience in piping construction for power or industrial plants and familiarity with ASME, ANSI, EIGA, DIN, EN standards, and regulations, including PED
• Knowledge in piping, valves, insulation, electrical trace heating, and plant layout
• Experience in project execution, project management, and piping proposal calculations is a plus
• Basic understanding of 3d plant design software (NAVISWORKS, PDMS, E3d) and Pipe statics (longitudinal stress analysis)
