Product Engineer (all genders)

In doing so, we are making a joint contribution to the mobility of the future and to improving the environmental balance in the transport sector - in line with the Green Deal. A central element of our solution is the provision of (voice) communication solutions for dispatchers. We are looking for you for precisely this area - a technology enthusiast with a passion for modern voice communication on all-in-one PCs, operating systems (Windows / Linux), audio quality and USB devices for use in the rail sector. Key Tasks Evaluating, documenting and prototyping : Testing and evaluating new all-in-one PCs for dispatcher workstations with associated USB (audio) devices and creating a basis for decision-making for use in the railway environment.  Integrate & support : Combine components to create an overall solution, coordinate co-operation with software developers and support the created solution throughout the entire product life cycle.  Analyse & improve : Identify, analyse and document system problems and support sustainable solutions for an important component in the rail sector.  Configuration : Manage and document software components and configurations.  Ensure audio quality : Perform audio tests with system experts, define and continuously optimise settings.  Security & operating systems : Configure and maintain Windows IoT and Red Hat Linux according to safety and security requirements.  Working close to the customer : Support customer projects and set up demo systems and proof of concept systems for sales, documentation and training. Key Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of Software engineering
• Curiosity for analysing and improving systems
• Basic knowledge of requirements engineering and  agile software engineering
• Interest in audio technologies and their application
• Know-how in operating systems (Windows IoT, Red Hat Linux) , PC hardware, telecommunications and IT infrastructure
• Ideally experience with control centre workstations
• Self-organised and enjoy working together to evaluate new technologies;
• Very good German and English skills
