Physics Reactor Physics Good understanding of reactor physics, for research reactors as well as for accelerator driven systems, including relevant modelling tools.
Qualifications, Experience and Language skills
- Doctorate Degree - Nuclear Physics or related field
- Minimum seven years of relevant research experience working at a research reactor or accelerator-based neutron centre , of which three years at international level and proven ability in working with international projects or multinational teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of and experience in research reactors of various types and their use in capacity building, research and industry; sound knowledge of related facilities, techniques and nuclear instrumentation.
- Familiarity of requirements in developing countries and / or collaboration with research reactor users in developing countries. Experience of collaboration with research reactor centre and national / international nuclear organization or institute in developing countries desirable.
- Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
Remuneration
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $84672 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 44114
