Overview :

Our client, a PE-Backed company in the cybersecurity space is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their finance team. This role will play a critical part in managing daily accounting operations, owning payroll and financial reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting internal and external reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, be proficient with QuickBooks and have experience with financial reporting and audit preparation.

Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting & Modeling

Draft interim (non-quarterly) financial statements for CFO review
Prepare reports for Venture Capital stakeholders using internal financial data
Assist in KPI analysis and update monthly financial models
Contribute to quarterly Board presentation slide decks

Revenue & Reconciliations

Manage monthly revenue reconciliations and related deferral balances

Perform month-end reconciliations for :

Cash accounts

Credit card accounts

Prepaid assets

Accrued liabilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Own data entry for credit cards, expenses, and bank transactions

Manage credit card issuance and monitoring (Brex)

Own accounts receivable invoicing, including WAWF (Wide Area Workflow)

Payroll & Labor Accounting

Own all labor entry and classification in QuickBooks

Manage Justworks payroll processes :

Pre-process and post-process payroll cycles

Submit and reconcile HSA and 401(k) contributions

Compliance & Audit Support

Assist in year-end financial audit preparation

Assist in tax return preparation (corporate / business filings)

Ensure compliance with business license and property tax return filings

Fixed Assets & Vendor Management

Track and manage fixed assets

Maintain day-to-day relationships with vendors (e.g., Betterment, Brex, SVB, United Healthcare, Optum)

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth or startup environment

Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Justworks

Experience with Brex, WAWF, and financial modeling tools is a plus

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
