Job Duties :

Autonomous teaching (organization, management, and actual teaching) of or participation in courses at the institute, particularly, in the subjects of product development, computer-aided design and calculation (CAD, FEM), computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM), fundamentals of mechanical engineering and dynamics of machines
Participation in the development of new courses for the degree programs in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Sustainable Polymer Engineering & Circular Economy, and Medical Engineering
Supervision / guidance of students in seminar / project work
Research : Theoretical and experimental work in the field of product development, computer-aided design and manufacturing, or dynamics of machines; participation in (funded) cooperative research projects
Supervision and advancement of experimental setups available at the institute and transfer of research results into teaching
Publication activities, participation in scientific events
Assumption of organizational and administrative tasks at the institute

Your Qualifications :

The successful candidate must hold a doctoral or diploma / master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent education

Experience in teaching courses in university bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs

Knowledge and experience in CAx technologies (CAD, CAM, FEM, MKS, simulation of dynamic systems, etc.) and model-based mechatronic product development

Particular interest and experience in computer-aided methods (CAD, CAM, FEM, MKS, simulation of dynamic systems, etc.) with respect to the development of mechatronic systems (products)

Very good written and spoken German and English skills (both level C1)

Communicative and open minded manner, teamwork skills

What We Offer :

On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours / week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,714.80 gross per month as a Senior Lecturer holding a Diploma / Master’s degree and € 4,932.90 gross per month as a Senior Lecturer holding a Doctorate / Ph.D. degree (14 x per year, CA Job Grade : B1)
