The iiT invites applications for a researcher inbiomathematics. We seek researchers to develop tools to investigateand to model the interaction of cancer cells, in particularleukemia and lymphoma cells, with the tumor-immune microenvironmentand how this interaction changes during disease progression andtherapies. Experience and Expertise You should have experience inworking with large and growing data sets, both descending fromclinical data and wet-lab experiments with human and murine cancercells and cell line experiments. You have experience inmathematical modeling of complex multiparametric data sets,extraction of data from publicly accessible repositories and datafrom the literature. You are familiar with biostatistics and cancooperate with biostatisticians. Your work requires integration ofyour knowledge and expertise in the scientific team to understandcancer immunology and to develop a patentable tool for clinicalapplications. A university degree in mathematics, or equivalent, isrequired to effectively address the challenges in data analysis andmathematical modelling. The position will offer anexciting job in a supportive environment in a seminal field ofresearch. The gross annual salary will be 84,000 € (40h / week) butcan be negotiated depending on qualifications and relevantprofessional experience.
