System Engineer – Maritime (all genders)

The Frequentis Maritime team develops solutions for Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems (GMDSS) and Vessel Tracking Systems (VTS). The Frequentis Search and Rescue solutions have a very high level of integration with existing customer systems in order to integrate the systems into the existing infrastructure. Our voice communication and information processing solutions are used in all 7 oceans of the world . About 25% of the world's oceans are covered by Frequentis solutions. In addition to the oceans, Frequentis solutions are also used in inland waterway transport and ports to make shipping on rivers safe and to ensure safety in harbours. The Frequentis solution provides an intuitive, integrated and highly graphical user interface . This enables operators to make the right decisions quickly and efficiently and save lives . Key Tasks

• You implement our maritime solutions in the control centres of our international customers, starting with the technical specification and ending with final acceptance at the customer's site.
• You will advise your customers on technical issues and clarify the feasibility of their requirements together with the internal technical team.
• You will be involved in designing the system architecture and optimising the system from a cost-benefit perspective.
• If adjustments are required, you will be the interface to our internal experts (e.g. software and product development or the internal support departments).
• You will conduct acceptance tests with customers, the project team and other key stakeholders both at our headquarters in Vienna and on site at the customer's location.
• You will analyse bugs, create bug descriptions, support the product development team in fixing bugs and provide feedback on new product versions.
• You will provide 2nd and 3rd level support for the customer and - if you wish - you can also become part of the 24 / 7 on-call service after extensive training.
