IT administrator for school networks

The municipality of Halstenbek with approx. 18,000 inhabitants (m / f / d) and the local recreation area Krupunder See is situated in a scenic location on the outskirts of Hamburg. The highway and S-Bahn offer optimal transport connections to Hamburg city center. All general education schools with corresponding sports facilities as well as several day-care centers for children run by the town and others are located here. Two libraries and a youth center complete the offer.

We are looking to fill a permanent position in the Digitalization & General Services department as soon as possible :

IT administrator (m / f / d) for school networks

full-time (39 hours / week)

  • A salary according to pay group 9a of the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD)
  • collectively agreed full-time annual salary of approx. 43,811.45 euros gross to approx. 59,744.19 euros gross depending on qualifications)

Your requirements profile :

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (m / f / d) (specializing in system integration), business IT specialist (m / f / d) or a comparable qualification
  • Sound knowledge of Windows 11 administration and ideally experience with IServ at administrator level
  • Confident handling of common software products and interest in technological developments
  • Experience in supporting school IT or in an educational environment desirable, but not a prerequisite
  • Perseverance in the pursuit of objectives
  • Service orientation as well as communication skills and team spirit
  • Initiative and enjoy working independently
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies, mobile devices and innovative solutions as well as a willingness to undergo continuous training
  • Class B driving license and willingness to use your own vehicle for business trips (against compensation)

    • Your tasks :

  • Configuration, administration and maintenance of end devices (e.g. tablets, laptops, PCs, printers, ActiveBoards) and the associated software products
  • Client and mobile device management as well as maintenance and administration of the fault reporting system in IServ
  • First-level support for IServ, Windows 11 and general IT inquiries; commissioning of second and third-level support if required
  • Ensuring IT security through appropriate measures and creating data protection and technical documentation
  • Processing requests for quotations and procuring hardware and software as well as coordinating with external service providers
  • Advice and support for schools on IT-related issues and support for school IT system managers
  • Quality control and acceptance of the work of external providers as well as conducting training courses for teachers (m / f / d) and student (m / f / d) administrators
  • Planning and implementing IT projects in collaboration with schools and other stakeholders
  • Documentation and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure and processes
