Qualifications, Experience and Language skills
Master's Degree - Advanced university degree preferably in nuclear or other engineering sciences.
Bachelor's Degree - University degree in nuclear or other engineering sciences or a related field with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of advanced university degree.
At least 10 years of professional experience, of which at least four years should be at the international level, in planning, organizing and conducting the review and revision of high-level scientific, technical and regulatory related texts.
Ability to write and communicate in a clear and concise manner, and ability to present information effectively orally and in writing is required.
Experience developing training materials and delivering presentations for courses, workshops, or instructional sessions is an asset.
Experience in proposing and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency will be considered an asset.
Professional experience in nuclear safety or security, radiation protection or emergency preparedness and response will be considered an asset.
Experience in developing of guidance documents or regulatory texts in the areas of nuclear safety and / or security will be considered an asset.
Strong expertise in scientific editing, with a focus on technical terminology, publication consistency, and quality control is an asset.
Strong project and quality management capabilities across cross-cutting publication initiatives is an asset.
Effective communicator with experience working with international stakeholders, committees, and regulatory bodies.
Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
Remuneration
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $101540 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 50364
