Director of Human Resources (m / f) - Leading Investment Firm

On behalf of our client – a globally active investment firm with offices in the United States and Europe and several billion USD in assets under management – we are currently searching for a Director of Human Resources to join their Vienna office . The firm operates at the intersection of high finance and technology, with an English-speaking culture and a strong performance-driven environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced, tech-savvy HR leader who thrives in fast-paced, international settings.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic and operational HR partner to senior leadership across Vienna and New York
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end recruiting process – from outreach to onboarding and retention
• Build and manage a talent database and maintain long-term engagement with high-potential candidates
• Create an exceptional candidate experience , ensuring consistent communication and engagement
• Work closely with universities and networks (CEMS, WU, St. Gallen, HEC, Bocconi, etc.) to attract top talent
• Manage local HR operations in Vienna, including one admin team member
• Ensure compliance with Austrian and US labor law
• Lead HR initiatives for approx. 60 employees globally, including performance and compensation topics
• Leverage modern HR tools (e.g. Greenhouse, HRIS) and drive the digitalization of HR processes
• Collaborate on creative recruiting strategies (e.g. job ads with entry challenges or gamified elements)
