- Advisory to management on software security policies and strategies
- Contribution to harmonization and standardization of software security strategies, principles, and practices across AVL globally
- Implementation, monitoring and improvement of global security processes, policies and guidelines in assigned areas of responsibility
- Coordinate, review and approve products, programs, and projects to ensure that they are compliant with AVL’s software security standards, policies and guidelines in alignment with the Software Compliance team
- Completed education (University of Technology, University of Applied Sciences or comparable) with a focus on Secure Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Security or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of relevant security regulations and standards (e.g. Cyber Resilience Act, ISO / IEC 27001, IEC 62443, ISO / SAE 21434, OWASP)
- At least 5 years of experience in secure software development and stakeholder communication
- Proven track record in agile software development and DevSecOps environments
- Hands-on experience as a Security Engineer, Security Architect, or Software Security Officer
- Experience across at least two industries (e.g. manufacturing, public, retail)
- Strategic thinking, high sense of responsibility, and excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel (maximum) 10% per year (worldwide)
- Business fluent knowledge in English, Basic knowledge in German as an advantage
