Financial Controller Jobs in Austria

Our client has diverse business interests across retail and property development / management and is embarking on an exciting period of expansion in 2025. Due to an internal promotion, they require an experienced FC or CFO to provide leadership and growth, supporting the CEO and department heads. You will review and execute strategic plans across the business and drive efficiencies and timelines, including upgrading IT systems and reporting tools, to essentially create a paperless office. You will also be tasked with implementing strategies to reduce costs in procurement.

Other key aspects of the role include :

• Assessing KPI's for acquisitions and developments, ensuring they meet ROI criteria
• Developing sales targets and budgets across the group
• Ensuring developments are within budget and providing support to the Development Manager
• Reviewing variations and reconciling progress payments
• Liaising with banks and managing requirements for loan applications
• Direct supervision of 14 staff (5 in accounts)
• Oversee the preparation of monthly P&L and budgets
• Licensing requirements

We need a smart, proactive person who can bring a fresh set of eyes, pulling finance apart and leading change in the team. It is paramount that nothing slips past the keeper, so an eye for detail is also needed. You should be a strong, confident leader to directly manage 14 office staff and indirectly manage over 200 operational staff, as this business continues to expand.
