We are hiring at ASE Global for an experienced Software Developer to join our automotive software business based in Vienna!

The successful software developer will maintain our existing DBS software products. Implement new functionality according to business and technical specifications. Ensure good quality, maintainability and timely implementation of tasks. Ensure the quality of the delivered software, further develop existing solutions, and conceptualise new product ideas. Plan, monitor and achieve team goals. Ensure efficient and sustainable processes in software architecture. Collaborate with different stakeholders, project and product management and subject matter experts.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere within commutable distance of our office in Vienna, working in a hybrid work model!

What your day will look like :

• Interface between the Product Owners and the Develops
• Control new software functionality in a timely manner that meets internal and customer quality criteria
• Understand requirements provided by business and technical product management and find efficient and technically sound solutions that meet these requirements
• Ensure solutions are maintainable and suitable for production environments
• Work alongside the QA team to ensure the successful delivery of product releases
• Work to deadlines and respond in a flexible way to the changing demands of the department and the business
• Report progress on tasks or encountered issues to the team lead and pro-actively clarify if problems or questions arise during implementation
• Analyse problems in detail to find the root cause and solve them
• Work with support to analyse and solve customer issues quickly and according to SLA agreements
• Work with the operations team to mitigate operational problems from running software applications
• Participate in the ongoing quality improvement and documentation efforts
• Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested
