Your mission
As a Key Account Manager (KAM), you will play a pivotal role in driving Tellent’s strategic growth by managing and expanding relationships with high-value clients. Your primary focus will be on strengthening long-term partnerships, increasing customer lifetime value, and ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates. You will be responsible for renewals, upselling, cross-selling, and leading pricing transitions for key accounts.
This role requires a deep understanding of your clients’ business objectives, challenges, and company structures to develop tailored strategies that maximize engagement and revenue. You will act as the main point of contact for strategic accounts, proactively identifying commercial opportunities and ensuring Tellent’s solutions align with customer needs. Your ability to navigate complex organizations, influence decision-makers, and drive expansion across different business units will be essential to your success.
You will specifically manage Tellent’s most important customers with the highest ARR, ensuring deep penetration across their corporate structures. This includes taking full ownership of account expansion strategies and understanding the company hierarchy to maximize business opportunities. Additionally, you will represent Tellent at key industry fairs and be expected to meet clients onsite, reinforcing relationships and positioning the company as a trusted partner.
About the team
The Key Account Manager role sits within our Customer Experience (CX) Team, whose mission is to drive customer satisfaction, maximize product adoption, and ensure clear ROI for our customers, all while aligning with Tellent’s commercial objectives.
The DACH CX team is a growing and dynamic group, currently expanding from five to eight team members, as part of the broader CX organization of 25 professionals spread across our Amsterdam and Paris offices.
Your 12-month Journey
Your first 3 months you will immerse yourself in Tellent’s product offerings, pricing models, and key customer segments. Through structured training, shadowing interactions, and engaging with your assigned accounts, you will build a strong foundation in managing strategic partnerships. By the end of this period, you will have developed key account plans and begun supporting renewals and pricing transitions.
After 6 months , you will be independently managing your key accounts, proactively identifying new revenue opportunities, and executing account growth strategies. You will have built strong relationships with your clients, effectively navigating negotiations and aligning customer goals with Tellent’s offerings.
After 1 year, you will be a critical contributor to Tellent’s expansion, with a proven track record in key account management, revenue generation, and strategic relationship-building. Your deep product knowledge and industry insights will position you for further career growth and development within Tellent.
