Product Marketing Engineer M/F

Job description

The job of product marketing engineer is opened within the NFC tags and readers team which is part of Connected Security subgroup organization (MDG/CS).

In this organization, the product marketing is responsible for defining, organizing and implementing the strategy required for sales growth and market share increase for the ST25 NFC / RFID reader product family.

We are addressing various applications such as payment terminals, access control, smart home, IoT, industrial, etc… with our reader products.

Here are the main missions of the product marketing engineer:

· Analyze the customer & market needs (market intelligence) and define technical requirements for new products (marketing requirement document)

· Manage the reader product offering and position it versus competition

· Participate to the reader product forecast with demand planning team

· Review and approve pricing proposal to maximize revenue, margin and market share

· Coordinate the product launch on the market (go to market strategy) and its associated ecosystem (HW, SW, kits, demos, documentation)

· Promote products during customer meetings, at tradeshow and on the web

· Support customers and partners during promotion and design-in phases ad well as ST sales, regional marketing and FAE

Profile

· Master degree in electrical engineering

· 2-5 years experience

· Knowledge in contactless NFC / RFID and wireless technologies is preferred

· Fluent English (position requires daily discussions with Asia, US and Europe)

· Very good communication skills (clear message, ability to listen, ability to negotiate)

· Autonomous behavior (customer visits, webinar / seminar, public demonstration, tradeshow promotion)

· Willingness to travel frequently

· Strong presentation skills in front of internal / external audience (oral / written)

· Reactivity and flexibility (can work in interruption mode, in highly changing environment)

· Innovation and creative with a problem solving mindset

· Team spirit and capacity to work with others in an international environment
