A leading specialty pharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive sales and expand market presence in Germany. With a strong portfolio of essential medicines, the company is dedicated to supporting healthcare professionals in delivering life-saving treatments.

Role Overview :

This field-based role is responsible for strategic account management, stakeholder engagement, and sales execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, particularly in hematology / oncology, and a strong network within the hospital sector.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify and develop key accounts to maximise sales growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and decision-makers.
  • Position the product portfolio within national and regional guidelines to enhance accessibility and uptake.
  • Collaborate with Medical and Marketing teams to execute strategic initiatives, including advocacy and peer-to-peer programs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and changes in treatment protocols to inform business strategies.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of customer needs, hospital procurement processes, and industry regulations.
  • Provide regular updates on market developments, sales performance, and key account insights.

Role Requirements :

  • Educational Background : Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field (or equivalent certification).
  • Experience : At least 3 years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, preferably in hematology / oncology.
  • Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of hospital sales, market dynamics, and pharmaceutical product positioning.
  • Languages : Fluency in German and strong spoken and written English.
  • Travel : Willingness to travel around 60-80% of your time.
  • Skills :

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and client management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
