Head of Group Internal Audit (m / f / d)
The Head of Internal Audit is responsible for leading the internal audit function to ensure the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This role involves planning and executing audit activities, managing the audit team, following up on action plans, and reporting findings to the Board of Directors.

Your Responsibilities :
Audit Planning :
Develop and implement a comprehensive annual audit plan based on risk assessment and organizational prioritiesIdentify key areas of risk within the organization and ensure these are included in the audit planCoordinate with other assurance providers and the compliance function to ensure comprehensive coverage of risksAudit Management :
Lead and manage the internal and outsourced audit team, providing guidance, training, feedback and performance evaluationsLead and oversee the execution of audit engagements, ensuring they are completed on time and within budgetReview and approve audit workpapers and reports to ensure quality and compliance with internal audit standardsAction Plan Follow-Ups :
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and action plansConduct follow-up audits to ensure that corrective actions have been effectively implementedReport on the status of action plan follow-ups to senior management and the BoardReporting to the Board :
Prepare and present audit reports to the Board of Directors and Audit CommitteeCommunicate significant audit findings, risks, and recommendations to the BoardProvide insights and advice on improving internal controls and governance processesYour Profile :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProfessional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or equivalentMinimum of 8 years of experience in external and / or internal auditing, with at least 3 years in a leadership roleProven ability to lead and develop a high-performing audit teamStrong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management, and governance frameworksExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organizationProficiency in audit software and data analytics tools & understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practicesAbility to work cross-functionally and with distributed teamsHands-on and proactive work approach as well as high level of integrity and ethical standardsProactive learner, clear thinker, problem solving attitudeStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesFluent in English, ideally fluent in GermanAt INNIO, we offer a competitive salary package which is far above the requirements of the metal collective agreement in Austria.
