Overview

APS Resources is in search of an accomplished Head of Sales to lead and scale B2B SaaS commercial operations across the DACH region on behalf of a rapidly growing international group. With a legal entity already established in Austria and a core regional team in place, including a Business Development Officer, Sales and Lead Generation Specialist, and external marketing support; the company is actively generating sales. The current strategic focus is on optimizing go-to-market execution and identifying the most effective channels for sustained growth.

This is a pivotal leadership role suited for a strategic, hands-on sales expert with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in startup or scale-up environments. The successful candidate will spearhead growth initiatives and process improvement while helping to mature a lean but capable commercial team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire sales function for the DACH market, focusing on revenue growth and commercial process optimization.
  • Drive new business acquisition and pipeline development, with a focus on long-term client relationships.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with the regional commercial team, ensuring alignment across marketing and business development efforts.
  • Evaluate and refine sales channels, improving ROI and operational scalability.
  • Provide hands-on involvement in key deals, including client engagement, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Report directly to company leadership, contributing to strategic planning and market expansion initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial roles within the B2B SaaS industry, including at least 5 years in a sales leadership role.
  • Proven success in launching and scaling SaaS sales operations from scratch—especially within startup or early-stage growth environments.
  • Solid knowledge of the DACH market (Germany, Austria, Switzerland); fluency in German or market familiarity is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage distributed teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to be execution-focused when needed—must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
  • Professional appearance and strong client-facing communication skills.
