About the Role :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Group Production Operations to lead and oversee the production and operational functions across multiple factory sites in our fast-growing FMCG food company. This role is pivotal in building and optimizing systems, structures, and processes from the ground up to enhance operational efficiency, increase production capacity, and ensure sustainable growth. A hands-on, proactive approach is essential, along with a strong emphasis on lean production, KPIs, and leadership development.

Responsibilities :

  • Multi-Site Leadership : Oversee and manage operations across 3+ factories, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with business goals. Lead the coordination of production capacity and resource allocation between sites.
  • Systems and Process Development : Design and implement systems, processes, and management structures from scratch in a mid-sized company to support scaling and operational excellence.
  • Lean Production and Efficiency Improvement : Drive initiatives such as lean production, 5S, and Kaizen to streamline processes, minimize waste, and optimize workflows for improved efficiency.
  • KPI Development and Monitoring : Introduce, track, and manage key performance indicators to monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership and Training : Lead production managers and technical departments, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. Train and mentor teams to develop their skills and ensure operational readiness for scaling.
  • Automation and Optimization : Drive the adoption of automation and other technological advancements to enhance productivity and reduce costs across all sites.
  • Flexibility and Problem-Solving : Address the challenges of rapid growth and frequent change by finding solutions, managing shifting priorities, and maintaining flexibility in strategies and execution.
  • Frequent Travel : Travel 2+ days per week to factory sites to ensure alignment, support operational initiatives, and engage with local teams.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (preferred).

  • Pay range and compensation package :

    We offer a competitive gross annual salary of €100,000 along with additional benefits based on the actual location of the final candidate. Our flexible workplace options include Banská Bystrica and Bratislava in Slovakia; Vienna in Austria; and Wiesbaum in Germany. This flexibility allows us to accommodate the needs of our diverse team members and ensure a supportive work environment.
