Dissertation on dwarf galaxies in the field of galaxy formation and evolutionIndependent research on dwarf galaxies using imaging and spectroscopic dataDevelopment, implementation and application of methods for the analysis of data on dwarf galaxiesContributions to international collaborations (especially Euclid and ARRAKIHS)Scientific evaluation of mission / observation dataParticipation in meetings and conferencesWorking in scientific collaborationsIndependent organisation of courses, teaching and supervision of studentsScientific publications and participation in scientific telescope proposalsEducation and trainingAdministrative tasksYour profile :
Completed relevant Master's, Magister or Diploma degree in physics, astronomy or astrophysicsExperience in analysing observational data in extragalactic astrophysics, preferably with regard to imaging and spectroscopic data of dwarf galaxiesInterest in working within large collaborationsConfident handling of Linux-based data analysisGood knowledge of statistical data analysisExcellent knowledge of EnglishAbility to work in project teamsCreative problem solving skillsGood self-managementGood presentation skillsPlease enclose a letter with your application in which you describe your relevant qualifications and experience, as well as your thoughts on your dissertation project (max. 4 pages)Euraxess :
