Principal Consultant (Education)

Autism CRC is seeking an exceptional candidate to undertake the role of Principal Consultation (Education). This is a part time (0.8FTE) contract role commencing October 2025 for a fixed term of 9 months. Flexible work arrangements are negotiable.

As Principal Consultant, you will :

• Lead the expansion and adoption of inclusionED, a national online professional learning community supporting diverse learners.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships across state, territory, independent, and Catholic school systems.
• Co-design and deliver implementation plans in collaboration with Autism CRC, educators, and sector partners.
• Advise on business development opportunities that support Autism CRC’s strategic priorities.

We are the independent national source of evidence for best practice across the lifespan and spectrum, working in partnership with autistic people, families, professionals, service providers, researchers, and government.

Who we’re looking for

Proven leadership in complex implementations, in the education sector.

Deep experience in education, with knowledge of the Australian school systems, curriculum, and teacher standards.

Strong grasp of inclusive education and experience working with autistic and neurodivergent communities.

Excellent communication skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders including senior and executive level.

Tertiary qualifications in education, business, public policy, social sciences, or a related field.

Lived experience of autism and / or post-graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
