Tasks

  • Providing resource and time estimates for intralogistics software solutions of our existing customers
  • Elaboration of optimization potentials of existing software solutions of our customers
  • Creating software designs and coding software solutions
  • Source code reviews and developer tests
  • Software documentation and creating test reports
  • Fix software errors
  • Holding workshops (customers, suppliers, etc.)
  • Implementation of software change requests
  • Assisting live operation remotely and / or on-site at our international customers' premises
  • Implementation of project preparations
  • Ongoing, independent development within the team
  • Training and coaching of new colleagues

Requirements

  • Educational background with specialization in the field of IT or technology advantageous
  • Experience in software development and object-oriented programming (Java advantageous)
  • Understanding of relational databases (MS, SQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • Practical knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems advantageous
  • Knowledge of network technology
  • Experience with common development environments and with GIT and Gerrit advantageous
  • Good command of English
  • Ability to work independently, team player, and sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to travel abroad (approx. 15% of annual working hours)

    • The minimum salary for this position according to the Collective Agreement is € 3,724. for 38.5 hours / week. However, we offer a competitive salary depending on relevant professional experience and qualifications.

    SSI Schaefer IT Solutions is the software specialist of the group. Our IT experts work on our in-house Warehouse Management System WAMAS.
