Overview
- Duration : 5 months (fixed) Start date : 1st March / April 2026. Extension : possible up to 6 months if required by the University. Eligibility : Only applicants who are nationals of the Member States of the European Union, or citizens from countries that have official candidate status to join the EU (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine) will be considered. Candidates whose Erasmus+ programme overlaps with the duration of the traineeship will not be considered. Please limit your application to a maximum of three traineeship publications;
we will retain only thefirst three submissions.
Objective of the Traineeship
MPLS lines for EIB external offices.New building design Wireless migration.Contribute to update schema and documentation in close collaboration with senior engineers of the team.Improve existing templates (if any gaps are identified).Design automation scripts.Responsibilities
Participate in meetings to understand design decisions.Review documents and propose comments.Get accustomed with new technologies (on‑prem and cloud).Prepare new hardware based on procedures and templates.Update monitoring system after the installation of new equipment.Update related documentation after new installations.Follow the functional mailbox and organise incoming communication.Use EIB internal tools like ticketing system and document repository.Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills
Final year of studies or University degree in computer science or related disciplines.Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of another EU language would be an advantage.Advantageous : Cisco CCNA studies or certification, any experience or courses of Cloud technologies, any other network vendor courses or experience, any automation or scripting / programming language experience.Competencies
