Commercial Director - Edible Nuts will lead the overall business strategy, commercial development, and profitability of the Edible Nuts division. This role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on commercial execution — overseeing sourcing, trading, and sales activities across key markets while ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement the global commercial strategy for the Edible Nuts business line.
Drive P&L performance, margin optimization, and market expansion.Business DevelopmentIdentify new market opportunities, partnerships, and suppliers to strengthen sourcing and distribution networks.
Lead negotiations with key clients and suppliers, ensuring sustainable long‑term relationships.Sales & Trading ManagementOversee trading activities, pricing policies, and contract execution.
Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and risk exposure to optimize performance.Operational CoordinationCollaborate closely with logistics, finance, and quality teams to ensure smooth delivery and cost efficiency.
Supervise demand forecasting, inventory management, and order fulfilment.Team LeadershipBuild, manage, and mentor a high‑performing commercial team.
Set clear performance targets and ensure continuous professional development.Reporting & CompliancePrepare regular business performance reports for senior management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and sustainability standards.Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Agribusiness, or related field.Minimum 8‑10 years of experience in edible nuts trading or broader agri‑commodities (almonds, cashews, walnuts, etc.).Proven track record in P&L management, sales leadership, and international trading.Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision‑making skills.Excellent communication in English and German; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French) are an asset.Benefits
