The Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna is the largest Austrian institution of mathematical research and tertiary education in the mathematical sciences. Your professional field of activity :
As a University Assistant (Postdoc), you will complement the research team around Univ.-Prof. Adrian Constantin, PhD. Our ideal candidate has a strong interest in Mathematical Analysis with special backround in Partial Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems, can easily integrate into our team, independently contribute to current research, and work with responsibility for results.

Our research focuses on the field of Mathematical Analysis. As a team, a positive, inclusive, and respectful working environment is important to us, and we regularly exchange ideas on current topics and projects in our group meetings.
Your future tasks :
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means :
o You identify and address research questions in the field of partial differential equations.
o You contribute to the innovative development of partial differential equations.
o You become an active team member of the "Analysis, Geometric Structures and Mathematical Physics" key research area.
o You participate in international scientific collaborations, as well as international conferences and workshops.
o You participate in the administration of the institute, teaching and research.
o You hold courses and examinations in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement and you (co-)supervise students.
Required Qualifications / Position Requirement :
Doctorate in mathematics, or a related field completed and certificate provided in due time before the start of the contrac
Emphasis in one or more of the following areas : Mathematical Physics and Partial Differential Equations
Research competence & initiative demonstrated through international publications in peer relevant medi- a
Excellent command of English, both written and spoke- n
You are a team player with high social and communicative competence and have international experience- .
You are goal-oriented and have a high motivation to strive for scientific excellence- .
