Salary : $3,900 USD per Month (Tax-Free, Paid Only During On-board Time)

Contract : 5 Months On, 2 Months Off

We invite talented Chocolatiers and or Confectioners to join our prestigious luxury cruise line as we set sail on unforgettable journeys across the globe! This is a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry while indulging in the beauty of international waters.

About Us :

As a recognized leader in the luxury cruise industry, we create unparalleled dining experiences for our guests aboard our state-of-the-art vessel, accommodating 700 passengers. Our discerning clientele expects the finest in cuisine, and we are searching for an exceptional Confectioner to enhance the offerings of our onboard restaurants and bars.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Artistry in Confection : Design and produce exquisite chocolates and pastries that elevate our gourmet offerings across various dining venues on board.
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with our dedicated pastry team to uphold the highest culinary standards and deliver a memorable dining experience for our guests.
  • Leadership : Report directly to our Executive Pastry Chef and play a role in training junior team members to cultivate their skills in confectionery.
  • Excellence in Hygiene : Maintain rigorous hygiene and safety standards in line with corporate protocols, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years in a high-end culinary environment, with a strong focus on chocolaterie and confectionery.
  • Culinary Expertise : Proven skills in crafting intricate desserts and confections; experience in Michelin-star kitchens is a plus.
  • Language Proficiency : Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
  • Cruise & Hospitality Background : Previous experience in luxury cruise lines or high-end hospitality is preferred.
  • Ready to Set Sail : Availability to start in December 2024 or sooner is essential.
  • Cultural Sensitivity : A commitment to humanitarian values and an appreciation for diverse cultures are vital, as we foster a family-like atmosphere onboard.
  • Requirements to Work Onboard :

    Candidates must obtain the following (guidance provided by the cruise team) :

  • STCW Certificate
  • C1D Visa
  • Medical Certificate
  • Seaman's Book
