Purpose of the Role : The Marketing & Engagement Manager will play a key role in defining and delivering how STRABAG UK Infrastructure communicates, connects, and engages – internally and externally.
Reporting to the Growth & Strategy Director, this role will lead the development and implementation of marketing, communications, and engagement strategies that strengthen STRABAG’s brand, enhance employee experience, and support STRABAG UK – Infrastructure’s growth ambitions.
You will work closely with STRABAG UK’s Communications, and People and Culture teams, ensuring marketing and engagement initiatives align with employee needs, cultural priorities, and the wider business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement : Execute a comprehensive engagement plan targeting all employees, particularly those based on project sites and in the field. Develop and implement programmes that enhance employee motivation, recognition, and connection to STRABAG’s purpose and values. Partner with the People and Culture team to deliver engagement campaigns and culture initiatives that support retention and wellbeing.
Marketing Strategy & Innovation : Develop, lead, and implement the Infrastructure marketing strategy in line with the business’s growth objectives. Work closely with the communications team to innovate in how STRABAG UK Infrastructure communicates its achievements, capabilities, and culture to both internal and external audiences. Analyse market and customer insights to inform future strategies, campaigns, and positioning.
Content & Communication : Act as a content creator, developing internal communication streams, and updates that inform, connect, and inspire employees. Facilitate effective communication between STRABAG UK – Infrastructure departments and business units, ensuring clarity, alignment, and transparency. Ensure all communication materials maintain brand integrity, tone, and consistency.
Engagement & Events : Lead and oversee internal event management – from staff engagement sessions and town halls to project milestone celebrations. Organise internal initiatives and campaigns that strengthen STRABAG UK – Infrastructure’s culture and sense of belonging. Support external events and conferences that promote STRABAG UK – Infrastructure’s business and sector expertise.
Collaboration & Partnership : Act as a collaborative partner between Growth & Strategy, People and Culture, and operational teams to ensure marketing and engagement initiatives are aligned with business priorities. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the UK and Group functions (including STRABAG Group Communications).
Digital & Brand Management : Oversee and manage Infrastructure content across STRABAG UK - Infrastructure’s digital platforms, including the company website and LinkedIn page. Serve as a brand champion, ensuring consistency in messaging, visuals, and tone across all internal and external outputs. Monitor analytics and engagement metrics to assess performance and refine strategies.
Creative Design & Storytelling : Develop creative marketing and communication materials that resonate with employees and stakeholders. Capture and share success stories that reflect STRABAG’s values, culture, and achievements across projects and regions. Bring new ideas and formats to how the business communicates progress, strategy, and people stories.
