Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and other types of solid cancers.

Medical Manager, Austria

In this role as Medical Manager, you will expand the understanding of all scientific elements of TTFields in order to allow healthcare professionals, patients, and payers alike to embrace TTFields as the new standard of care for treatment of Glioblastoma in Austria and a new paradigm in cancer therapy.

Your responsibilities :

• Increases therapy awareness amongst physicians, and works with them towards establishing the value proposition of TTFields therapy towards all stakeholders (physicians : neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, neurooncologists, oncologists; patient advocacy groups, payers)
• Develops strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in Austria
• Develops, owns, and implements the medical strategy for Austria in alignment with the EMEA medical strategy to support understanding, adoption, and effective implementation in clinical practice of TTFields treatment by health care providers
• Develops in collaboration with the market access department scientific argumentation towards payers medical departments
• Owns medical content at congresses in Austria, including satellite symposia and other continuous medical education activity
• Supports investigator-initiated trial process in Austria and works closely with the EMEA and global team to ensure consistency
• Acts as Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) according to MPG §79

For this position, we offer a gross annual salary starting at €45,000 with the willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications.
