Do you enjoy leading teams, shaping technology strategy, and driving software-focused product innovation from concept to delivery? We are looking for a Group Lead Engineering to guide our engineering teams and ensure the successful development of our award-winning smart glasses. While your focus will be on driving excellence in software engineering, you will also collaborate across hardware and product disciplines to ensure smooth integration and high-quality results.

We are a young deep-tech company that creates and produces internationally awarded smart glasses. Our headquarters is in Vienna, where we develop and manufacture both the hardware and the software of the smart glasses.

From research & development, engineering, production to marketing and sales – we offer everything from a single source under one roof. This gives you exciting insights into many parts of the company. Although we have our roots in Austria, we are “born global” and work with customers and partners all over the world.

Tasks

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams, providing tools, processes, and support to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Oversee all phases of the product lifecycle : concept, design, development, quality assurance, manufacturing, and maintenance
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to technology, resources, and project execution
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes for product reliability, security, and compliance
  • Act as liaison between technical teams, product managers, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication

Requirements

What You Bring to the Team

  • Deep understanding of product development processes, relevant technologies, and modern tech stacks
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in a software-focused environment
  • Strategic vision for technology and product development
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making
  • Experience collaborating effectively with C-level management, product, marketing, and sales teams

    • Nice to Have

  • 5+ years of professional experience in product development for embedded systems or high-volume products
  • Expertise in disciplines relevant to consumer products, such as plastics, electronics, or software
  • Ability to mentor and support team members in their professional development
