The PS Murray Princess is the largest inland paddle wheeler in the Southern Hemisphere. Accommodating a maximum of 120 guests and operating 3, 4 and 7 night cruises on the Murray River from Mannum, 87 kilometres from Adelaide, this stunning vessel attracts guests from all over Australia and the world.
About You

All meals and accommodation on board the Murray Princess when rostered on duty are included. Transport from Adelaide CBD to Mannum is provided if required.
About the role
The Chef 3 / Lead Galley Hand is an integral position in the hospitality operations on the Murray Princess. The primary function is to assist food services in the galley and dining room to company standards and in accordance with safe food handling guidelines.
The Chef 3 / Lead Galley Hand is responsible to prepare, cook and serve company meals for passengers and crew. They work in close conjunction with the Head Chef in the supervision and guidance of food service staff and to delegate authority where required to enable hygienic, timely and nutritious food service.
The Chef 3 / Lead Galley Hand is expected to ensure that schedules are adequately serviced and that the Galley and all its appliances, storage areas and fridges / freezers are clean and sanitized at the end of every shift in accordance with health regulations and company policy.
Currently, the Chef 3 / Lead Galley Hand is on a fifteen days on and six day off roster and may be required to work outside of these hours on occasions during periods of annual leave and maintenance requirements. Roster will include alternative day breakfast shifts and they may be called on at short notice to replace other crew member in the galley.
This role requires energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, and multi-skilling and time management.
