ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Assistant Trader to research monitor and execute our daily trades. The ideal candidate will be a junior to mid-level professional. Frequent interaction with other traders quants and senior management will be required so communication and collaboration skills are essential. The successful candidate must have previous exposure to manually trading many different asset classes on an electronic trading platform. Strong experience with VBA is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT TRADER FULL TIME

• Supports senior traders with managing the order flow and executing trades using an electronic trading platform.
• Maintain and upgrade existing spreadsheets and trading tools.
• Work closely with operations team brokers and prime brokers to assure proper trade allocations and resolve breaks.
• Monitor the behavior of execution algorithms and collaborate with the senior trader to improve execution quality.
• Interact with brokers and bank dealing desks on a regular basis
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned such as ad hoc report generation.
• Translate qualitative signals into actionable trade orders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2 years of trading desk experience
• Proficient with Excel VBA
• Familiarity of python is a plus but not required
• Knowledge in commodity fixed income FX and macro markets
• Understanding of Order Management and Execution Management Systems.
• Familiarity with the mechanics and terminology of options equities and futures markets
• Excellent communication skills self-starter quick learner positive attitude and team player.
• Strong analytical skills.
