Senior Thermal Design Engineer - Leased Labor - Vienna (m / f / d)
Your mission
- Lead critical thermal engineering projects with substantial impact.
- Act as a technical advisor within the department on thermal issues
- Perform cutting-edge research for microelectronics thermal management and thermal-mechanical design (liquid cooling, thermal interface materials etc.)
- Develop conceptual designs and conduct feasibility studies
- Handle cooperation projects with universities, academy of science institutes and industry companies. Interface with stakeholders to align thermal strategies with project goals
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers in their tasks
- Expertise of conceptual design of equipment and comparison of various thermal solutions in both the cost and the functionality perspective
Your areas of expertise
PhD in thermo physics, heat engineering, materials science, mechanics, physics and related specialtiesExcellent knowledge of heat / mass transfer, fluid dynamics, CFD, mechanics with a focus on electronics cooling application, technology of advanced materials, design optimization methodsHands-on experience (scientific experience) electronics industry, including thermal and thermal-mechanical management at component, board and system level, advanced materialsExperience in system thermal architecture design for electronic products would be an advantageProficiency in FEA analysis tools (ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Thermal Mechanical, ANSYS Mechanical, FloTHERM, Icepak, Comsol, OpenFoam) and ability to perform complex thermal analysis to guide designProfficient in programming languages (Python etc.)Proficiency in managing project timelines and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
