Life Science Consultant, Industry 4.x
Location : EMEA, Remote, (40% - 100%)
Duration : 3 months (with the possibility for extension)
We are seeking a skilled Industry 4.x expert to consult the client’s Data & Digital Backbone Capability Team. You will work closely with the client, a global pharmaceutical company, to deliver innovative data analytics solutions across Technical Operations. You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced cloud-based data architectures, promoting real-time data streaming, and facilitating end-to-end data product strategy.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with global functions to deliver impactful value to our patients.Drive the integration of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake), including the implementation of real-time data streaming and IoT solutions.Develop an end-to-end architectural understanding, encompassing data ingestion, processing, storage, and utilization for comprehensive analytics and data product strategy.Evaluate cloud solutions, considering factors such as flexibility, long-term costs, and interface complexity.Lead the implementation of architectures from proof of concept to go-live.Deploy digital use cases within large pharma or manufacturing companies.Act as a translator, working effectively with various target groups from data engineers to high-level management. Summarize and pitch project documentation to management.Coach, develop, and advise the team, promoting data citizenship and a digital mindset.Minimum Qualification and Experience
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.Language
Fluent in English (oral and written) is a requirementAny additional language is a plusWork experience
Proven experience with cloud providers, including integration (e.g., AWS, Snowflake).Hard Skills
Must Have
Experience with real-time data streaming & IoT.End-to-end architectural understanding for E2E analytics & data product strategy.Experience with cloud solutions evaluating flexibility vs. long-term costs vs. interface complexity.Hands-on technical knowledge implementing architectures : from PoCs to Go Live.Track record of implementing digital use cases in large pharma / manufacturing companies.Proven ability to coach, develop, and advise a team.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different target groups (data engineers to higher management levels).Nice to Have
Deep knowledge and understanding of FAIR data principles.Experience in process re-design for operational excellence.Familiarity with Lean and Digital skills in a manufacturing environment.Soft Skills
