For the Rare Disease Team AT & Switzerland we are looking for a motivated, experienced and dedicated Head of Medical Affairs Rare Disease AT & Switzerland, who will be based in Vienna (Austria).
Main Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the leadership of the Medical Team Rare Disease AT & Switzerland, including MSLs in AT and MSRs (Medical Scientific Relations Managers) in Switzerland
- Acting as key interface between Medical, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, etc., with a focus on strengthening cross-functional collaboration
- Responsibility for the development and advancement of the Medical Affairs Rare Diseases department in AT & Switzerland
- Acting as a sparring partner and coach for team members, with responsibility for their professional development in collaboration with HR
- Taking ownership of budget responsibilities for the designated area
- Supporting the team on strategic, scientific and stakeholder management topics as content-focused sparring partner
- Acting as medical contact for MSLs RD, PV&QA, Head of Rare Disease AT&CH and Brand & Customer Manager RD
- Overseeing medical trends and news in relevant indications
- Networking and developing relationships with internal and external customers
- Approving promotional material and compliance requests
- Active contribution to generation of brand plans
Your Profile
Degree in medicine (human or veterinary) or natural sciencesSeveral years of experience in the pharmaceutical industryAbility to analyse and interpret clinical dataExperience in dealing with customers and disseminating scientific / medical information (personally, written and / or remote)Deep understanding of the company’s own range of productsKnowledge of the relevant laws, directives, regulations, guidelines, norms and standards, incl. SOPsKnowledge of the European code of conduct (Efpia) and the Austrian Pharmig CodexKnowledge of the Swiss PharmakodexFundamental knowledge of the aspects of the pharmaceuticals industry like approval procedures, market access, etc.Experience in organising and participating actively in scientific meetings like advisory boards, round tables, or symposia.Leadership skillsWritten and oral command of English and GermanAdditional Information
