We are looking for a seasoned Head of Accounting to join our Vienna Office !

Main Responsibilities :

  • Professional and disciplinary management and development of a 6-person accounting team
  • Responsibility for the ongoing accounting of all Austrian companies within the Kapsch Group
  • Timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS , including required appendix disclosures
  • Preparation of annual individual financial statements in accordance with the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB)
  • Management and coordination of all accounting processes
  • Organization and continuous optimization of accounting processes

Your Profile

  • Completed business studies with a focus on accounting / finance or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in an international corporate environment
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and the Austrian Commercial Code ( UGB ), as well as experience in preparing financial statements
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams
  • Confident use of ERP systems ( Infor knowledge is an advantage)
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Strong communication skills, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility
