University Assistant (postdoc)
Job Description : Your tasks :
- Independent research activities in the areas of the research focus Social and Ecological Transformations at the Institute of Sociology
- Participation in research projects, acquisition of third-party funding (e.g. FWF, ERC, Horizon Europe) and publications of the research programme
- Independent organisation of courses (German and English) and holding of examinations
- Supervision of students, including supervision of theses
- Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks of the institute as well as in the context of academic self-administration
- Continuing education
- Social knowledge transfer (third mission)
Your profile :
Completed doctoral or PhD programme in sociology (or relevant doctorate)Relevant research experience in at least one of the following areas Inequality research, agricultural, regional, environmental sociologyMethodological expertise in qualitative and / or quantitative methodsNumber of high-quality publications commensurate with academic ageAbility to connect to the research areas represented at the Institute of SociologyVery good command of English and GermanTeamwork, communication and organisational skillsDesirable : Teaching experienceDesirable : Experience in acquiring third-party fundinghttps : / / euraxess.ec.europa.eu / platforms / jobs / 139 / POSO-15355
