Senior Software Engineer - Python / MongoDB

Overview

Canonical is looking for an experienced Python developer with a background in MongoDB to help us build a fully managed MongoDB solution based on Juju. We aim to build the most reliable and secure way to deploy and operate MongoDB on machines, VMs, public cloud and Kubernetes. The MongoDB team is small, meaning you will be a key contributor and your work will have a significant impact on the product and the broader ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building a fully managed MongoDB solution based on Juju for multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
• Help deploy and operate MongoDB clusters across machines, VMs, public cloud and Kubernetes.
• Work on infrastructure deployment automation and related tooling.
• Focus on reliability, security, and maintainability of deployments.
• Collaborate with engineers across levels in a small team with broad impact.
